Inline Editing
Visual Quiz Builder recently released a feature to add text, image and HTML elements anywhere in a quiz. These elements can be added by hovering over the active slide preview in our dashboard. We are extending the usability of the slide preview as an inline editor so you can work within the slide preview to edit content and layout for nearly all quiz elements. Here are some use cases to help you understand the feature.
You would like to modify content (headings, subheadings, images, input boxes, buttons, answer options and more) as you preview it
Click on the relevant content in the slide preview and the quiz editor will open up and highlight the relevant section on the right hand side of the slide preview. Previously, if you wanted to change content, you would have to switch to the edit tab and find the relevant field to edit on the right hand side.
You would like to modify the font family of different elements in your quiz

Hover over the element and you will see an icon with a message to change the font family
You would like to modify the styling of different elements (buttons, answer options, input boxes, product tiles and more) in your quiz

Hover over the element and you will see an icon with a message to change the styling globally (for all slides in the quiz)

In some cases, you will see an icon with a message to change the styling for that specific slide

Hover over answer options and you will see an icon to style selected / unselected answers (backgrounds, font settings, hover effect and more)

Hover over answer options and you will see an icon to change answer option layout
You would like to modify the alignment of different elements in your quiz

Hover over the element and you will see an icon with a message to change the alignment
The above examples are illustrative and not an exhaustive list of features that you can easily access while working in the quiz editor. We are constantly filling in the gaps on features that aren't easily accessible through the slide preview so if you come across any that you had trouble finding or could be improved, we would be delighted to get your feedback!
Infrastructure Upgrade
These are a few of the steps we have taken that will have a meaningful impact on the efficiency with which quizzes load as well the impact of our app on store speed. Without getting too technical..
We are now caching quiz related assets and files instead of retrieving them from our server on each load of the quiz. These files are now only retrieved periodically or when there is an update to the quiz and the quiz is re-published
We are loading content that is within the view port of the user and loading the rest as needed when a user scrolls (lazy loading)
By integrating resource hints with Visual Quiz Builder, we are helping users' browsers loading essential styles, scripts, or images before they are explicitly needed. This proactive asset loading reduces latency and renders key content faster—improving metrics like First Contentful Paint (FCP) and Largest Contentful Paint (LCP).
Subscriptions
If your store primarily sells subscriptions or you only want to recommend subscription options on the result page, you can now hide the one-time purchase recommendation. If certain products do not have a subscription option (while others do), you can enable the option to hide subscriptions if not available.
